Now that EWS have deceided to retire the 2 Class 47's 47798 Prince William and 47799 Prince Henry from Royal Train Duties, suitable replacements have had to be found.

With the demise of Royal Mail Traffic on the Railways, several Class 67's have become available for new areas of work.
After recent successful trials working Royal Trains EWS have now Repainted into (Plum) Royal Train Colours 67005 which has been Named Queen's Messenger and 67006 which is rumoured to be Named Queen's Sovereign shortley for Royal Train Duties.

EWS have said the Loco's will not be restricted to Royal Train Duties but will also perform other Duties within The EWS Infrastructure.

Good news for the Class 47's it is hoped at least one or not both will find New Homes at the NRM(National Railway Museum York).

The Pictures below show my recreation of these Loco's for MSTS.
I need to get permission from Steven Weller before I can upload them.
If anyone has a contact E-Mail Address for Steven please post in reply to this post

Hi Gary and all

2 things, apart from that it's a great model...

Theres no red and yellow band on the real thing.. I too am annoyed at this, just plain black I'm afraid

Also the bottom bit of the jumper cables have red and white stripes and are not plain orange.

HTH

Apparently they are going to add a stripe to the bodyside so it could be right :).

I must agree though on the colour.
The actual thing, is a deep plumb colour, not black.

If you have a point to make, you should make it. It would appear that you don't like the idea that someone else has done the model? At the end of the day, if people like what is done they will download it, ifthey don't, they won't. Garys models have always been welcome as they are of very good quality. The screenshots shown were beta work in progress and they have been considerably updated, using prototypical shots that I have supplied to him. I also posted a couple of sample pics on your thread but you didn't bother to update the loco with the info provided so it is hardly surprising that someone else would make the effort to do the detailing properly.

Also, being a free market, if the author has given his permission to paint the loco then there is nothing wrong with it being posted. Just because Tesco's supply oranges, doesn't mean Sainsburys can't. Especially as the Sainsburys crop might be of better quality if their producers have taken their time to make sure the crop is the best available!
