I'm sure it will be possible for a conversion to a non L2B deoendant route at a later date - All users have to do is create items with the same names as the L2B items and dump them in the route folder - Obviously they would have to share some measurements and things which may make it a job for someone with L2B who wants to help out by making/locating L2B replacement parts.

What I could do is when the route is finished, have a version for LBE users which has the 3rd rail track and also release near identical non-LBE version with Euston-Watford DC lines relaid with normal A.......etc track and one of the default track textures (which users could change themselves once downloaded).ForburyLion wrote:I'm sure it will be possible for a conversion to a non L2B deoendant route at a later date - All users have to do is create items with the same names as the L2B items and dump them in the route folder - Obviously they would have to share some measurements and things which may make it a job for someone with L2B who wants to help out by making/locating L2B replacement parts.
Personally, I think the route will be a little less realistic without the 3rd rail but it is a small compromise which would allow non-LBE users to (hopefully!!) enjoy it! I'm working on an alternative for the signals.................

That's something that I will have to put up with, better to see the OHL on the AC lines rather than no OHL on any lines...........buffy500 wrote:I did wonder, how are you dealing with the overhead wires on the DC section ?
(This is where I missed the bit about it being pre AC electrification probably)

Another bit of progress, this time, Roade Cutting looking north. the "filler" blocks need a better texture but they seem to work..............

Pardon? Are you mad? L2B track is the default huge iron girders with a 3rd rail skilfully added by Decapod. UK Finescale is accurate correct profile rail web with chairs and check rails on all pointwork. With correct hand point levers sited in the right position. Tiebars, etc etc blah blah blah...phat2003uk wrote:Stick with L2B track, It looks far superior to finescale 3rd rail.
You may as will sit there saying 00 gauge is more accurate than P4!

But of course once someone has committed this far into building a route there is no sense in changing. However next route you build I do sincerely suggest you investigate UKFS, it is the dogs dangly whatsits as far as accurate UK track goes (if only for the correct 6ft way instead of the Kuju 15ft or whatever daft figure it is).

The route, when finished will be.........fhornuk wrote:I can't wait for this route to be released, it looks fantastic! One small question though. how far north will you be taking it?
Cheers,
Bill
Euston-Liverpool/Preston (Lancaster?) plus Rugby-Coventry (done) - Birmingham NS-Wolves then rejoin at Stafford (plus Euston-Watford DC).
Already done is Euston - north of Norton Bridge & Rugby - past Coventry (Tile Hill or Canley........).
