I hope you will still include the Redditch-Lichfield Trent Valley route as that would be great to run a local class 323 on there and make activitys for local routes too . Also i am looking forward to seeing the new version of this route as well. Here is a saying, "All the best things come to those whom wait" :). And in this case this is very true so its well worth the wait if you ask me :D. When the route is released i will definately make some passenger activitys for it as well as freight activitys too. Its well worth the wait i say . I have a question though, will we need xtracks for this route ? because i'm curious about the mass switches at the junctions at the large stations and freight terminals . So i thought i would ask about that :). In the maintime good luck with the route comrade :).

cheers

Hi Yuri,

Yes, XTracks 3.10 will be needed!

Don't see any reason why not! :D I do have the track plans from the sectional appendix and won't take long to generate some markers for the Redditch-Lichfield line (gradients will have to be guessed for this though!), so yes, I'll put it in (New St-Aston was to be included anyway as one of the diversionary routes......). One line in the Birmingham area will have to be left out, that being the Soho-Perry Barr line, reason being is that a loop would be made and as we all know, MSTS doesn't like that!

Cheers

Loops in MSTS do seem to work ok if they are points going of. They seem to work fine for me but only in areas with complex track plans.

Proof house junction is 1:27 level down 1:30 with 1/4 of a mile
the rest of it is fairly flat until bescot to walsall section where it climbs to cross the canal .

Hi all,

I'm ending this thread, due to a new, more realistic (DEM & Gradients) version being made by myself. I shall start a new topic in the Route Building forum soon when I'll have more info & progress to report upon.

:D :D :D

Cheers and thanks for the support & encouragement up to now.

Thanks, save me going all moddish :D

Keep at it, I'm sure it'll turn out right and two versions of the WCML are better than one :)
