What about that rope/gravity coal truck affair they had up near Springwell/Gateshead - now that would be an interesting one to tackle!saddletank wrote:I have this crazy dream of building the Stockton & Darlington one day. some more really early loco's would be fantastic, both the rocket model and the novelty model we have in the library are outstanding little loco's
i think the other competitor in the rainhill trials the 'sans pariel' ? would be an excellent one for someone to try at and then of course there's locomotion, and puffing billy, Planet etc.
would be great to see all of them on an early activity (altho if they were all together it wud have to be a very fictional activity lol)

the NYMR when steam first took over and there was a rope incline at Beckhole would be good!qzdcg8 wrote:What about that rope/gravity coal truck affair they had up near Springwell/Gateshead - now that would be an interesting one to tackle!saddletank wrote:I have this crazy dream of building the Stockton & Darlington one day. Should be easy for a skilled animated scenery modeller! Or just lay the incline with real track and make a coal wagon as a very powerful engine, and use AI to maake them reverse up and down all day...qzdcg8 wrote:What about that rope/gravity coal truck affair they had up near Springwell/Gateshead - now that would be an interesting one to tackle!saddletank wrote:I have this crazy dream of building the Stockton & Darlington one day. Getting your horse (engine) to climb up on a Dandy cart might be a trickier one to figure out...
