Fictional 1950's/60's branch route WIP.

Post by uknut »

Here are some work in progrss pics from my 1950's branchline route.

It is still quite a way from release and i will have to ask permission for all the addon objects i have used. It uses Ukfinecale for the track for more realism.

These pics cover half of the branch from the seaside terminus (Morton on Sea) to the halfway point a village called Abbleton. This section i see as more or less complete (albeit without signals etc) and i have more work to do on the rest of the route.

An M7 simmers in the platform of the terminus station:

Another view of the same scene showing the small goods yard and engine shed:

Just Leaving:

Passing a farm:

The train at the small country station of Sheerston:

And another farm:

Approaching halfway:

Arrived at Abbleton:

I have many more pics which may find there way up here in time. Let me know what you think of the route.

Looks great!
Will be nice to have somewhere to run some of the smaller tank locos, especially Southern ones! Keep posting pics.

Odd the images seem to be working again for the moment. I may change plans slightly and upload the pictures to a page on my cfs2 website and include a link here to that page.

Yes it should be good for small tank engines such as M7's and ivatt 2mt's as well as larger BR standards (hint for loco builders) and bulleid light pacifics. It is a Southern region branch so you westerners keep you grubby hands off  well that is if it ever gets releaded :)

Hi i have done a little work on the route recently, i just get bored putting up the miles of fences. Much of the scenery on the branch itself is complete but i need to put in more hedges, fences etc and do alot of work on the mainline section. I may post some new pics soon.

you can use the autogantry feature to place trackside hedges and fences. search the forum for details! You place the trackside features a tile at a time. works really well apparently.

I know i am dragging up an old topic but i have been forced to abandon route. Partly through my own fault in failing to have any recent backups and the computer breaking. Unfortunately PC world didn't back up my whole drive like i hoped just my main documents. My newest backup is months old and i dont think i can be bothered to rebuild it all.
