Strewth!!

The snowy ones would make some great Christmas cards especially the Barmouth bridge one.

The reskins look great on the Cambrian, A series of activities using them would be great on the Cambrian, giving more variet than just a prarie and a DMU. How long until the locos are available on UKTS????

I never think to take distant shots, but have to agree with Gordon the Ivatt Micky Mouse crossing the bridge is a classic.

Lovely images Tom, esp the colours and lighting. You have an artist's streak in you.

The early BR emblem alsways faced forwards on tender and tank sides, however and I think (but am not sure) that the red enamelled background to the number plates was only used on lined mixed traffic engines, although I'm not 100% sure of this (individual engines may have recived 'individual' treatment at Swindon as was known to happen from time to time).

Thanks everyone for the kind comments:)

I wasn't sure about the emblem and was planning to go to Grosmont tommorow to see the real 3841 as they have a picture of it in this livery sat on the running plate, I did the red plate as a guess too and i'm sure you will be right about that aswell  I'm having a spot of trouble putting on a smokebox numberplate because the door handles use the same bit of texture. Could be a while until I get it right but some of the loco's in theses screens are now awaiting approval.

Tommo,

Great Shot's.

Are you using "Sky Conductor" or "Environment Control"? and is that a deep snow fix?

I've hacked my Cam so that the 2 key gives approximately a "standard" lens (50mm in 35mm camera terms) and the 3 key to give approx a 30mm wide angle. Using Alt Ctrl 9 gives me some good angles and distance but nowhere near as wide as your Barmouth Bridge shot.

Is there a simple hack to alter the Cam to object distance? I asked this ages ago on Train-Sim's forum and got no replies?

Thanks

Geoff

Don't want to drag you away from those reskins, but I'd appreciate some help on the Cam Hack and feedback on the Environmental questions.

I tend to put my Screen Grabs into Photoshop just to adjust contrast and unwanted colour casts Where necessary.

I couldn't get sky conductor to work for some reason and wasn't too keen on the default skies (Daysky, Starsky) so I just renamed some of the sky conductor files and overwrote them. The deepsnow is from route ritter which also has a handy tool to fix sunrise/sunset times. As for camhacking I'm afraid I don't have a clue, I've just used whatever was on the route to start with. I got the shot of the bridge using number 2 or 3 view which are zoomed right out when I first start an activity, Holding down the ctrl key slows down the speed I can zoom in at to adjust the distance but I've no idea how to zoom out again. All the shots are straightforward screengrabs exept for a bit of trimming/resizing

I'd also appreciate a cam-hacking tutorial if anyone knows of one or would take the time to post some basic info in the forums.

Thanks - Mark :)

Just arived back from Grosmont after finding out what i thought was 3841 is actually 3814. The plate fitted on the cabside is painted red but the photo they have of it in BR days has a black plate and late emblems so I need to make a few changes or keep it and do a new loco:)
