Rouge River Valley Railroad rollingstock.

Post by Jontan »

I've done some locos and cars for this RR Co. Is it's a quite small company, so it doesn't have such great amount of rollingstock.

Here are pics of the locos that currently is.

1. The railroads first loco, the Sally Alicia Acorn #50, made for fast passenger service, she's called the "princess" by her crew and passengers because of her beauty.

2. The second loco for the company is #405, mainly used for freight haulage but occasionly pulls passenger trains.
Image

3. The very first diesel is loco #619. (the paint sheme is based on Ohio River but is brown instead of red)

4. "Princess Sally" pulls a passenger train.

All locos have been enquired from other RR Co's and have kept their numbers.

I will shortly build a route for the company too. The repaints and route will remain for personal use only unless I get too many PM's requesting upload at T-S.com. :)

Uhm, yeah. That would be the Michigan one. Actualy, I guess that the railroad is long gone so it would be considered a fictious RR Co nowadays. Do you know how far the railroad went before closing? Or did it ever close?

I'm actualy seeing it as a fictious company that resides by the Rouge River that flow through the Rouge mountains in the world of Sonic the hedgehog. The railroad goes from Knothole to a madeup village called Belevel with many small stops and towns along the way.
Actualy there is no such thing as the Rouge mountains in any Sonic related thing or whatever but it's always good with some fantasy and it gives me a route project to work on. :D
So this entire thing circles around the world of Sonic (hence the name "Princess Sally" on the loco) but with a real world railroad company.

I agree on that old American steamers are lovely, especialy the well known 4-4-0 American. *drools slightly* ;)

I'm not the one who did the models, you should thank John Fowlis, he is the creator of these gorgeous steam locos and Kelticsylk is the creator of the coaches. I only did a repaint. But I am very thankfull for your comments of my work so far.:)

Really nice though, so there you are in Sweden making a US route, funny really, me being a brit living 40 miles west of Detroit building british routes, just goes to show what can be achieved over the web though.

R.R.V.R.R 4-4-0 #10 named "Miles Prower" in honnor of the little two-tailed dude. You can actualy see him in the cab.
I guess you agree on the "drools slightly" thing, eh? Cause she is one fine steamer!

Are those the ALL East coaches.

I like the things but hate that yellow colour and the red bogies.

Nice to see them toned down.
Let me know if you upload them.

Yes, but repainted by me. Suits the engine real nice, don't you think? If possible I might upload them as a package. And I totaly agree on that the default colors are somewhat bleh.
