New VEP now arrived

Post by DaveR »

Here are some shots of the new VEP, model builder is Ian Morgan and textures by me, click thumbnails for larger picture Still some work to do but should arrive soon, all liveries will hopefully be done as time allows, when finished there will be a new CIG and BIG to the same standard, then possibly more to follow, there is also a new cab and sound set in production which will be made available when ready

Great work Dave!
But have you ever seen a clean VEP before ?
To make it look so much better would you be able to weather it ?

Great work Dave. I just brought a new digital camera, so any photos you need, let me know via the normal methods.

Thanks for the comments, I will look into the possibility of a weathered unit a bit later as I need to catch up so I can get these uploaded soon.

btw I will have to put up the fares as all this new stock costs :drinking: :D

You would be able to keep the blue grey stock clean but anything more recent than that is always dirty!

Well, will you accept clean Veps released in time to play with when you get LBE, and maybe get some dirty ones later when we have figured out if it can be done? 8)

My current Mk1 model has long streches with translucent windows which don't take dirt well. It may need an entirely new model to make it feasible. :(

sure i would love all the veps in all the liveries in time for L2B but the windows don't need to be dirty, just the textures.

Maybe we should all just appreciate the work that he has spent time commiting himself to do for us before we all go, "can i have some more please."

If that was me, my comment would be, "Why should i bother with producing these models if all i get is a lust for more instead of appreatiation that i have speant time producing these models."

I think you will agree that we should all just take what we have before gagging for more.

Dave Roles, your VEP look's superb, and i thank you for the time you have put in to produce the texture and model alteration.

NOTE: to rub salt in to the wound i even put the wrong author of the product.

Sorry

SO, i assume that you are gonna do some of the repaints then?
Instead of just "renaming" the files and slamming on 1 new texture face?

What number is that 170 in you're avatar?
I went on a road call to one about 2 weeks ago, driver complaining the engine sounded rough.
Walked round and it couldnt see anything wrong.
2 days later a piston came out of the engine down the West!!
Clear evidence of why Fratton fitters have nightmares about a road call to a 170!!
