G2CV4 Progress shots

Post by NiallGray »

While I'll probably stick the odd shot in the route building forum, for clumps of pics, best off I start a new thread.

And here we go!

As usual, kept pics tight in as not much depth to scenery yet. Here's a look at the line between the junction for Duke Street and Bellgrove station.

Pretty much at the end of the line, the 303 is coming from the Airdrie direction (and you can tell where the line ends as there's a backdrop a few feet back). The line to the left reaches to Duke Street, but bar a couple of warehouses above the tunnels, there's nothing there to see yet.
This area will look better when I've scenerised Duke Street as it will be more built up.

Couple of shots of the stretch between junction and Bellgrove station. North side of line needs more depth of scenery, the South side is complete.

Current limit of scenery work. Station gratefully provide by Derek as before, North side of the line needs more scenery, South side does not.

From here, it's about a mile to the next station (High Street). Nothing to show of that area yet as still working on Bellgrove.

Hope you like them,

Niall

Some work between Duke Street and Bellgrove. All that's missing is the traffic, I'll add the cars later on.

Start of the line just before Duke Street station.

The tunnels were a pain in the rear end to scenerise but they are great to drive through.

On the right is the line to Shettleston which is a short spur. That short stretch is also complete.

Having worked over the line as a guard I recognise all the locations.

Well done.

But very unlikely to see a 31 anywhere in Scotland never mind Bellgrove.

Thanks Ian, appreciate it. I'm just grateful to Derek for his contributions.

I know about the 31. It's just the first thing I saw when I wanted to put something in to test the signals between the Union line and the junction at Duke Street.

Ian,
you might be surprised just how many 31's have visited Scotland, but as you say, probably not Bellgrove ?
Even the odd pairs of 33's occasionally made it to Uddingston in the early 60's with the Cliffe cements.

Presenting Partick, which those who know here will see this is not the current station as it doesn't fit the period of the route.
