Paul, you're getting the smokebox and boiler texturing really well now. But don't those cylinders look small - too small for all them wheels!

It's been a bit of a labour of love as it was IMO the best looking loco ever and I've had the model hanging around unfinished for at least 6 months.
For fear of sounding immodest, my best model to date.

I'm a bit short on performance details, the ENG file is a bit of a guess - if anyone has more data, I'd love to hear from you.

Looks great pulling Terrys SR wagons.

Great model Paul! Will you ever reskin it into the colours it carried on the KESR? You could almost do a "it could have been.." in BR colours and the number 30949 as it had already been allocated this number. Prehaps in the future we may see it on the virtual KESR along with a P class and a C class....?

Once I have the KESR route to run them in I'll re-do the Dean, Ilfracombe and Hecate in their proper colours.
Other locos that appeared on the KESR will be along soon...

Paul, if you ever do your own Terrier model for the KESR, do you think it would possible to release it in a Isle of Wight condition with extended bunker. The IoW terriers look superb in Southern Livery.

At the other end of the scale, has anyone done the Model T railcars yet?

Blue handrails? Even round the smoke box? Very odd...

Mike - there was a Stephens Ford railcar on the old trainsimfiles site. I have it if you want it (email me), although an up-to-date version would be good, with a decent cabview and sounds, and that funny little open wagon used on some of his lines between two railcars to put luggage or milk churns in. According to a couple of books I have read the Fords were thoroughly noisome things, smelled foul and rattled like crazy - rather than being cheap and reducing running costs they actually forced passengers away they were so nasty!

I should have mentioned - not yet complete
after studying an early photo of hecate, it looks like they lined just about everything with that pattern - sand box, cylinders...

The handrails are a hangover from the black version and will be changed.

I was just researching the SECR livery for the P class - how could they justify the cost!!! ...

Green, black border with red lining
Inner border with indented corners in pale green, Red lined on the outside and yellow lined on the inside

looks nice though.
