Hi Dogmouse

Thank you for sharing the screenshots, the textures and models are outstanding.
A link for download would be most welcome.

Kindest regards
Ray

Am I posting these images in the right place? It seems like a rather active forum, but maybe these dont belong here. Sorry.

Absolutely the right place. If it's MSTS and it's a screen shot, there is no better place.

Your texturing really is amazing. Do the models impact on frame rates because of them (the textures)?

Good luck
Doug

Not really, Doug. I didnt notice any significant slow-down in the sim. The model is also not a very high poly model, so I think that helps.

But that you have mentioned concern over the textures, I have been thinking of reducing them to see where the "sharp vs. blurry" line is drawn.

Hi Rich,
Not so much concern, more idle curiosity. It will be an interesting experiment.
Some modellers here have been using 2048x2048 textures.
See here:-

You may have seen it already.

Good luck
Doug

Yeah, "concern" wasnt the right word to use.  I am not able to edit my posts here anymore.

I did see that thread you're referring to. Interesting. Chris makes some really cool looking textures! :)

I orginally started out using 2048x textures, but I find that 1024x textures work well enough for these old eyes.

No worries, 8) No offence taken.
The Edit Button is only available for 60 mins after the post now. Due to some liberties being taken.
The Preview button to the left of Submit shows exactly how the post will appear. Although you may know that. :)

Old eyes, yep we're all getting there.

Good luck
Doug
