I think it looks brilliant! I like the 66's being unloaded off the ship!

that is a nifty touch with them 66's!
Anychance of joining Cardiff and Doncaster with a through line please?
At the moment you cant run to both, just either or, it would just be a nice alternative to run via :)

Good idea megatron, from Doncaster NE branch, continue as a fly over/under before Cardiff station, adds plenty of scope for Ai trains delaying service trains.

are the stations based on the real locations with some artistic license, and they put together into a fictional route? only it looks quite an exciting run from london to the southwest via manchester :P

Very nice adaptation of an existing route. You could have had the decency to rename Cardiff to something or somewhere english, though.

In answer to your comments.......

IKB - I will be renaming most of the stations in the route - Cardiff will no longer exist!!

Megatron - I will certainly think about connecting "Cardiff" and Doncaster - i will look at the possibility tonight.

Lucazone - the route is fictional, using real place names - im just following the format that james hunt used for the route.

NOTE - AT THE MOMENT THE ROUTE IS NOT ELECTRIFIED FULLY. I am delaying adding OHLE Gantries until i decide wether it should be electrified or not.

Who wants the route to be electric???

I'd prefer it to be electric- it gives more scope for activities and stock. Most UK routes are non electrified, so it'd be a nice place to run our electrics!

Is it a simply choice of one or the other? or can u decide which bits of the route to electrify. Id say electrify the main line stuff leaving branchlines as they are. That would give a good scope then and some variety in running. I think it would look wrong to go off on single line routes and have gantries along them. Maybe on the continent but its pretty much no exsistant in the UK.

Roughly how long is the route?

With msts its all or nothing

What you can do is have it electic with the wires miles in the sky, and put gantries where its supposed to be electric, and leave them out where its not.

BTW I vote for electric.

I like the 66's arriving..... I'm a bit puzzled about how exactly they're going to get off the ship though, Those cranes don't look up to the job.... Might need a bigger crane and a siding closer to the ship.

Have you considered laying some track on the ship which can be "hidden someway, This would enable any consist to be placed on the ship and maybe allow 2 part activities where you arrive at the docks in part 1 with the loco's on the ship and in part 2 the loco's are on the dock waiting for you to couple up and deliver them to their operators depot.

This is all easy for me to say having not yet managed to lay 2 pieces of track in rail editot that connect!!!!

Have just had a look at the docks map and wondered if the route going vertical top to bottom was a main line as there does not seem to be any way to move stock from the reception sidings to the dock side (and vice versa) without venturing out onto the mainline and back.

PS - My choice would be part electrification

PPS - Don't mean to sound negative, Just trying to offer some helpfull thoughts, It looks like a fantastic route and I for one can't wait to download it.
