What you need to do is turn the Detail bar up from 'default' 1 step higher, I used to have that same problem until I did it.

Whilst we are on the subject of glitches, in certain outside views on sunny days, with shadows on, it looks like some one is laying the loco and tracks infront of it as it goes, usually using view 4 as it passes ny from a similar angle to the pic posted here?

i think that might be to do with your draw distance.
if its set low then the simulator will only draw things that are close to you. If you set it higher then the simulator draws things further away from you, which means theres more strain on your system and therefore lower FPS. I think thats about right!
And BTW ive no idea what that little black cloud is on the above shot !!!
