Along the Bedford - Hitchin branch.

Post by kieranhardy »

I have been testing out this stunning route by charles9malcolm. It is still very much WIP but this route is just a joy to drive and the scenery is stunning. The train isn't necessarily authentic for the route but at the current moment my msts has very limited stock installed due to a full msts re-installation which added a few headaches, but i do know Ivatt Tanks did operate the line.

See here for details on the route:

And no, i haven't forgotten about Highworth.

Very picturesque - looks like a good re-creation of a bygone age.

Gorgeous - and love the detail. So much to see - I like the bike propped up against the building - well done Charles, and great screenshots Kieran. :D

Stunning is the word - thanks to all involved, cannot wait for this one 8)

It is so gratifying to see such content for MSTS coming through even at this stage - life in the old dog yet :)

:shocked!: *Picks jaw up off ground*

Wow, that is looking good. I've just followed the former trackbed in Google earth: are the Cardington hangers in? They are certainly a unique landmark!

I hope this answers your question

I'm not sure how complete the scenery is at each station percentage wise though.

The airship hangers are in as per Kieran's screen shot. They we a nightmare to texture - as they are so big you can’t get far enough away from them to take a decent photo without excessive perspective and other things in the viewfinder! An airship is in production too.

Cardington station requires a bit more clutter.

Thanks for all the encouraging comments.

Hi,

If you don't like steam you can run diesels on it, even a class 26 as they were based down South until they migrated North of the Border, others would be class 25 and 24's they would have to be the green ones, and early dmu's.

Excellent route and scenery. The standard of detail gets better and better for routes still being done for MSTS. Keep up the good work, I look forward to its release.
