I wanted a go at tacking the Lickey Incline without an Banker, i think a Jubliee and a Black 5 tried it once without an Banker up the Lickey on tests? so i picked an GWR King Class locomotive, 6018 with an ten coach train and left Worcester Shrub Hill, i'm didn't obeyed the speed limit as i tried to get it up to it's top speed.

Bromsgrove: Travelling around 80mph through the station

After the speed dropped rapidly i manged to get to the top of the incline with an end speed of 25MPH

Hi

Well I thought starting from the yard was 'cheating' a little.... but a run at it.. :o

The 'Kerosene Castle' made it.

Cheers

Hi,
Yes, I've seen that video and have it stored on my PC

It gives me a tingle down my spine every time I see it! The driver and fireman deserve medals - and the weather didn't help, did it?

Blooming marvellous!

Regards,
Ged
