Hi Folks. :fadein:

Sorry to bother you all with a question that i am guessing has been asked several times over the years but here goes anyway.

If i have an upgrade on my computer to make it more powerfull and hopefully faster would it mean that i then would be able to run more items of rolling stock when driving a train in 'free roam' as the sidings look a little bit empty :( and would it mean that i'd be able to devise more intense activity's I.E. A more frequent train service passing you by as i drive along the line?I know that i have read that just because you have a powerfull computer it does'nt mean the graffix will be any better due to the limitations on the RailSimulator but i can live with that, not a problem, more intrested in the amount of items being able to be on a given route.

Kindest regards Thomas Telford. :fadein:

PS. Probably should'nt ask but any more news on the forthcoming MidEast Plus?

More memory (up to 3GB - or 4GB on 64 bit systems) and faster hard disks are the best improvement you can make. You should be able to add some consists to sidings, but it will depend how full that route tile already is. Trial and error im afraid. Put them in and if stuttering or crashing is too bad take some out again. regarding activities, on most routes you should be able to get a traffic frequency of 5 minute intervals, which if you are travvelling in the opposite direction, means you will see each piece more frequently than that. On Black Country I think Don Hinton aimed for every two minutes.
