Westcoast Express

Post by gremlin1812 »

Hi All, I was wondering if the Westcoast Express "Brighton - Portsmouth" and Westcoast Express "London - Birmingham" joined together or if they were just two separate routes. Thought they may be like Eastcoast Express 1, 2 & 3.

No they're completely seperate routes. For London-Birmingham you need West Coast Express and for Brighton-Portsmouth you need London South Coast.

Westcoast Express "Brighton - Portsmouth" is actually the 'West Coastway' route, Brighton to Portsmouth along the south coast of England
Westcoast Express "London - Birmingham" is the 'West Coast Main Line', Euston to Birmingham

I see you're in Oz, so thought it would be helpful to explain that London is a good 40 miles from the south coast - so no chance of these two joining up in real life, let alone in the sim world.

Hi, thanks for those quick reply, it was just that I saw an activity which ran both these routes and thought maybe one was an add on for the other. Yes being in OZ I don't have the geographical knowledge of the UK but I really like the routes with a preference for steam but I still have a play with the others.
