Locomotive Catalog

Post by OboRex »

I've been putting together a catalog of some of the locomotives available for MSTS. The work in progress can be foung at the url below.

http://www.banal.net/msts/catalog/catalog.html

I've mentioned it on a few other forums, but judging by the relative lack of traffic in the British sections of the catalog I don't think I'm repeating myself too badly by posting here as well.

Any thoughts or opinions on the project are of course welcome.

It's a great idea, but needs a lot of time to update and scour the relevant sites for info. If you have that time - good luck!

Its a really good idea and I like it very much as it can save alot of hunting around finding locomotives that you want by just looking it up in this.

I'm sure alot of people will find this really useful :)

That's a very good idea, is there anyway Modellers or repainters can inform you of anything new they are about to release?

Glad to hear people like the idea. I think I should emphasize that no attempt will be made to create a comprehensive resource, just a "golly-what-a-lot-trains"-sized one, which I'm hoping people will still find interesting and maybe a little useful.

Dave: Somebody suggested something similar over at train-sim. It would be great to be able to do updates as new trains are released but it would require time and resources far beyond what I have.

Hymek: Don't drop the idea! Since you have a narrower focus you have the potential to cover that area far better than I could, plus I'm sure your approach differs significantly from mine anyway.

Added 50+ locos to the UK section today, btw.
