UKModernTrack - Modern Coach Sounds

Was interested to see this on the downloads front page tonight. I wont have time to check it out until the weekend or Monday. Anyone downloaded and installed it? If so, how does it perform?

They are very good, the door slam sounds when you are waiting at a station are wonderfull. well worth it

Just gave these a run on the Manchester stock- superb really feels like you are travelling in a real coach- one thing I noticed that was absent in trainsim was the sensation of speed there just was something missing, with these sounds they put that little something in and now when travelling at 100 mph it feels like it to.

Well done on an excellent package!

Cool. Sounds really good. I'm just downloading it now, only a 5 minute download which is good - I had the feeling it would take a lot longer than that. Will have time to have a quick 10 minute or so drive in just a sec to check it out. Looking forward to this!

not beening the picky one but there the same as the steam uk coach sound

The modern sounds are essentially the same as the UKsteamtrack sounds up to about 30 mph, but above that they sound completely different.

37057, if you did only the basic install, you will get the same (old) sounds from all the coaches that used the steamtrack sounds. This sound set does not change any coaches using the UKsteamtrack sounds. Only those coaches that use the genpasswagmodern.sms will have the new sounds, as noted in the Readme, unless you manually edit the wag files.

For everyone else, please take the time to put the new sounds into the coaching stock used by your AI trains. There is a special sound from oncoming AI trains as they thunder past you at high speed on the adjacent line.
