Hi James, I'm have just this minute received my CD and reading the report on the main front page, I would guess that this new version is upto and including patch 5.
So I would say the answer to your question is no, I will however wait until there is more news before installing the route as I have loads of other things to do with MSTS in the meanwhile.

if you have a v 1.05 on the DVD disk then you do not need to install patch 5 or any of the others.
There will be a patch 6 coming soon that resolves alot of other problems with acts.
Patch 5 isnt the fix all one im afraid

I've got my copy to day and apart from the few snags reported I must say this one of the best addons for MSTS I would say it equels Cambrian Coast.I.m well pleased with my copy, and the money I paid will in a small way help to restore a locomotive that just by sheer chance escaped being scrapped.

I like the scenery and signals stations and signal boxes they all seem to be made for a specific location, loco's and stock first class, the only thing in the cab of the 47's and 45's there seems to be a ticking sound loke a clock ticking.

I have got the PC Rail signal sim version of Llandudno, set in the steam era and this route just shows how the track at Llandudno,Llandudno Junc and Colwyn Bay,had been rationalised by the 1970's.

I haven't got this route just yet, but I would imagine its the engine ticking over (the sound you get when you turn off a car sometimes). I don't know what actually causes it though

To me it sounds like the rattling of loose panels in the cab when the loco is in idle, very realistic add to the sounds I must say, especially for the era.
I hear lots of tales from drivers saying the wind got in through the panels because they weren't properly sealed.
BR's lack of attention to it's locos is clearly apparent in this add-on.

Fully Agree with this comment. The sounds when the engine is running with no power sound exactly like rattling in the cab, and also the engine scream when at full power is very realistic, they help to give a realistic feeling of speed when at full throttle. Keep the sounds as they are!!!

Hi Steve
I'm afraid I must disagree, the sounds seem to be the weakest part of this otherwise superb addon, which is a shame.
They need a full re-write in my opinion.
Even then there appears to be some very strange sounds coming from the class 40 cab, which don't seem to be related to the engine sound at all.
Although I've only been able to have one quick run so far, more time at the weekend.
Cheers
Jon

Sounds are great its just you need to be over 25% on the throttle for the engine note to change. 13% should have been the better setting. ie 13, 25, 50, 63, 75, 100%

Anyway bloody good route 8)

Oh and try 5D58 you really gotta watch them buffer stop. ive not sucessfully left the Depot yet.
