Hi.
I can get them down to running 0% but the loco's brakes drag, I need a lot of steam to move them. The small Ejecter is on already It makes no difference.

Hi Ben,
Are you sure it is the Loco brakes.
SVR Locos .eng files are designed to be as realistic as possible. So the amount of steam pressure related to cutoff is probably correct.
I think you have driven the real thing. So you will know how much oomph is needed to overcome the dead weight.
This assumes the locos are as supplied on the SVR CD.
Hope this helps.

Yes positive, the loco's are 5164 UKTS File ID 16216 By Matt Carey 4250 UKTS File ID 17246 By Refman
I've Aliased their Cab's to 4566 off the svr but it's the brake lever that won't go any lower than running 0% thats all how do you edit it so it will go lower than that.

Hi Ben,
Does the brake lever on 4566 go lower than 0%.
I have not got the SVR unstored at the moment.
Edit. Answered my own question. Yes it does!
However both Locos work fine as downloaded and on the CD, the brakes release fully no problem.

Tried pressing J for both locos 4250 works fine now and the Brake lever goes to 100% released. As for 5164 The brakes do release when J is pressed But I can only get 21inches on the Vacuum gauge not 25 like gwr should have and the Brake lever stays at running 0% Is this fixable?

Only obtaining 21 is probably a fault of the eng file and I wouldn't worry about it- continue running at 21 and the brakes will be released. Add to your realism it aint non-prototypical to have some locos not create the full usual vac reading or even over-create- I've even run round all day on a pannier with the vacuum pump quite happily creating 27 inches! Remember to shut the large ejector (j) once full vac has been created or your steam pressure will suffer.
I wouldnt worry too much about the brakes not reading 100% released when you have full vacuum- in real life regardless of the position of the handle- the engineman is more concerned about his vacuum reading and feel to the brake/train.
