Hi does anyone know the price of this add on? I have spent money before on add ons from the class 15 preservation and I was not really impressed to be honest. I bought the class 40s in blue pack. The model itself was nice but the sounds to me were not of a hight standard and some of the activities did not work. Can anyone give me information on this Add on? How long? how many activities, what kind of stock there is on there? and who actually made this add on.
Some people might think im being critical of my analysis of the 40 pack but I dont have much money and I cant be wasting it.

I believe it will be £25 including postage.
I can't comment on the 40s ..............but I have Class 15s, Claytons, Peaks, Deltic six, and Baby Deltics all of which I thought were superb.

The 40 sounds. Wouldnt ask for a refund as it was for a good cause.

well I realy like them and enjoy running the class 40 pack , will defo be buying the northwales coast route thumbs up

probably got tinitus from all that whistling LOL,..... sorry its just a 40 thing lol i can still hear the whislte an hour after a 40 leaves the station and thats the real Mackoy

having seen the video of the shunt at holyhead i cant really hear any defect in the 40 sounds other than the whistle should be a bit louder but that may just be Youtube

Think it is matey, some people need to go out and ride behind these machines, not all 40's sound or sounded the same, same for other classes of loco. Where dean gets not of high standard for the 40 pack i dont know, 7 sound sets, all different, so each 40 didnt sound the same, using recordings from either the back cab, or front window of the front coach, you dont get more real than that.

only ever done one 40 and that was on the SVR i think or was it the ELR cant remember now. so yeah i do understand as just listerning to them when they were doing the Ballast trains From Bayston Hill - Guide Bridge and Crewe (Circa 1982- 1985) each had there own sound.

A bit like a SAR 25C you could here the condenser turbo for ages before the train appeared and each one of those the turbo had a different sound,after a time you tell which loco was coming by the sound of the turbo,their nick name was Hoovers as well and that was in the late 60's.

They could realy motor betwween Kimberley and De Arr,They were used on the Blue Train and the Drakensburg Express or Green Train,the Blue Train ran Between Pretoria via Kroonstad,Kimberly,De Arr and Cape Town. The electric finished at Kimberley.

The Green Train from Durban Via Bethleham, Bloemfontain, and Kimberlerley De Arr, Cape Town,they were the most luxurious trains on SAR,in the 1970's the Blue Train had new coaches,so the older ones instead of being down graded were put into service as the Green Train.Evan SAR staff with their discount couldn't afford to go on these 2 trains. I worked for SAR in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

Apparently the soundsets for North Wales Coast are some of the best yet produced. Someone I know very well thinks the DMU soundset is as close to the real thing as you can get...

I'll be surprised if the other sounds are any less awesome.
