MSTS Keeps crashing

Post by connorurry »

When I load MSTS and click "Drive A Train" It freezes and a minute later it comes up with an error report

(Send / Don't Send)

Sometimes it completly crashes and I have to reboot my PC.

I found out that it is pointing to:

diolog.dat

and another thing but in my Train Simulator folder it is not there.

Connor,

Prior to it crashing, what was the last change you made to MSTS?

Did you install a route, or a piece of rolling stock?

If it was a route, it will more than likely be a TSectionDat. issue. If it was a loco or summat like that, try backtracking by removing it and see what happens then :)

Also, make sure you have the latest edition of Xtracks installed.

Followed your advice but it still does it.

Here is a screenshot of the error

As it says of the files, they are not in the Train Simulator!

Have you tried installing the latest version of DirectX? That usually solves any graphics-related problems.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\dwmdrivers.dat
and
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\dxdiag.txt

are created when an error occurs.

When you close the "tell bill" window the files are deleted.

They are in code and do not contain any readable information.
