Re: Jagsttalbahn (recommendation)
Keiran,
I am working to the instruction that the program is a stand alone program separate from Train Simulator as is also the xcase with Train Simulator Bernina. I has not thought to challenge this statement! However running the route through Route Riter there are quite a lot of missing files of one kind or another, too many to list. Whether these would have been made up from other Train Simulator files I do not know.
My personal view of the route is that it is not bad; the scenery is quite good but there is not much variety and the same applies to the buildings. The rolling stock varies; some of the locos do not appear to have "working " controjs - you have to use the keyboard and some are not very sophisticated compared with other Train Sim models. I find that the F10 display only works in part; passenger loading times are absent. The piggy back wagons for conveying standard gauge wagons are interesting.

I got the route to work now thaks to Tony, and I must say what a find this route is. I also found a page on the site that shows other narrow gauge routes from around the world and can be found here http://home.bawue.de/~willam/Auflistung.htm. My recommendation for german narrow gauge is the Weißeritzgrundbahn. Its a 750mm gauge route with quite a lot of track to explore, I would advise however to use to rolling stock from the Jagsttalbahn instead if the stock from the site where the Weißeritzgrundbahn is avalible at. There are some routes that are worth looking at.

Re: Jagsttalbahn (recommendation)
My personal favourite is the metre gauge Harzquerbahn, available with activities and stock from http://www.zugsimulator.de/new/_cms/index.php . Search for HQB12Route.zip, HQB13up.zip, HQB-Mod.rar, HQB12engacts.zip and HQB12Trains.zip.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558
Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

I used winrar. As far as i know you can download a trial version for free. I only have it installed when downloads require it, most of the time it's uninstalled.twomanydjs wrote:how do i unzip them my computer dos not know the file type
