The 43003 HST in First colours: The throttle works with keyboard controls but not with the mouse, any ideas anyone. The same also applies to the SWT 170 Turbostar, thanks

I have had this problem with every version of the 125 that I have downloaded. As such I have been reluctant to use them for anything other than AI trains. However the one supplied with Mideast UK has controls that are fully functioning (ah bliss!)

Incidentally, I am sure that when BR introduced the HST's on the ECML they ran with eight carriages, not the more familiar seven. This was why the sets were numbered 254 XXX as against 253 XXX as seen on the western region (and that exhausts my knowlege of railway trivia).

As far as I remember its thanks to Virgin that the HST sets went down to 7 cars as they wanted to cut out on the first class cars, and thenreuse them to make up a couple of additional sets. Great Western have though most of the time managed to maintain 8 car sets, as it should be.

If you happen to to have The Euro Loco Addon from Just Trains, there is a very nice HST 125 in it and you can alias the cabview to your HST and then you will be able to use your mouse.

Yes actually I already have theEuro Loco pack, so I will go and have a look at that. I did notice actually that the FGWHST1_01 that I downloaded from here that works fine, suppose it just depends what orgina people are reskinning from.l

I use the keyboard as it is easier. I sometimes release the brakes and put the reverser in forward at the same time.
