Anyone know what Chris Longhurst is up to?

Post by ogwilliam »

I'm sure you're all awhere of Mr. Longhursts' most excellent work with Dutch and European models. Heard nothing since the summer but there's a weird tease on his website with a japanese symbol and "coming soon" on it... bullet trains anyone?

have you had a go with Chris's jet sled thing? most entertaining
anyway, wonder if he's doing a route as well as just the trains? he did some work on the LGV Med route if I recall...

The jet train with the jet engine could do 1600km/h. But I prefer the Supercharged Dash9 which can complete Marias Pass in 4 minutes.

it's ok I've nothing against train-sim.com, it just appears to be horribly overloaded most of the time. I eventually gave up trying to log in as all their nodes were always busy. Anyway, not a criticism, just a victim of their own success I suspect.
I got most of my early models and routes from there, so I've a lot to thank them for.
If I wasn't such a cheapskate I'd pay the subscription.... but that's another story.

And if you notice, Modern England V3 is uploaded there yesterday and it was top in the download list with 228 downloads and today, it is 3rd in the download list with 201 downloads. Some people have problems by using V2 and upgrading to V3. http://www.train-sim.com/cgi/kds/main/hot.htm
