Cannock Chase v5

Hi all,
I installed the Cannock Chase v5 route and ran the installme.bat file as is needed but when i came to use the route it still claimed there were missing files despite me having all 5 of the routes included with MSTS installed
Any ideas here i'm going wrong? It is a shame because I have relatives up in that area and know most of the places and so was looking forward to driving the route.

Which files are reported as being missing? Knowing this will help us to pinpoint the problem.

There are one or two track files missing which I assume are from MSTS because they have the "A1" prefix which is labelled on the default MSTS track

Hi Kris,
Did you do what I've highlighted in Red', as Don used some new Track sections.
Please read these instructions
1). To install this route you must have all 6 Default MSTS routes installed. If you use trainstore, there is no need to unstore them as the installation will extract the needed shape and texture files.
2). You must if you do not already have them in your global folder, install the following files from UKTS.
a). A recent copy of XTracks UKTS file #14093
b). Recent Tsection build 35 UKTS file #13758
3). Download all 5 Zips into a temporary folder and unzip them there.
4). Execute "CC5_Cannock_Chase.exe". This will automatically install the route for you into :-
C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesTrain SimulatorROUTESCC5.
5).Go into the routes file folder "CC5 and double click on the file "installme.bat" and this will complete the installation.
6). Test the route with route-riter, this is a must.
7). ENJOY
there is a note in the download instructions to install Scottrax, It would appear that the Scottrax Textures are already in the download so it may not be neccessary.

Aha maybe not :S Thats because I was in a rush and didn't read the description when I downloaded the files, cheers for that, i'll get back to you after i've tried them.

I agree with you Cannock Chase is one of my favourite Routes.
Wait until you see Don's latest Route, Black Country 1 (still under construction) Mickrik and Peter@49 have already started on some Activities, well worth waiting for, have a look here:

Wow thanks Rob for that link and yes I definitely look forward to the routes release, the detail is amazing

You will have the pleasure of testing another one in a couple of days.

I love Don's Birmingham New Street station complex, Brian Bere-Streeter's done a fantastic job on the Building construction.
I didn't post any 'Screenies' as I know Don has still loads to do.
