Last progress i noticed was mid April 08, saying the route/activities had been passed on for final testing. But it seems to have gone deathly silent again?

Highworth is certainly a route i wouldnt mind having, think i've been looking forward to it since 2005/2006? I certainly look forward to the day when it is available on the CD ordering system.

er.... let's not forget the Snowdon Mountain Railway, which will be fabulous!

And for those who are interested in North American routes. I have gathered up a team of a few very talented route builders (Jerry Sullivan, Tom Galbardi, And Myself) and we just started on a freeware version of the Soldier Summit route which is a prototypical route that is in the state of Utah. The era we are doing is from the 1990's when Southern Pacific ran the route after they took over Rio Grande which were the original railroad that did the route for many years. The route is just a little over 100 miles plus we will be doing most or all the tracks from Utah Railroad going to the mines. All in all, The route will be about 150 miles (give or take a few).

Anyways, If you remember about a year and a half ago. Tom Galbardi and I were the guys who brought the highly detailed freelance route called Rattlesnake Desert to MSTS. Well, Jerry, Tom, and I hope to be able to do that once again with the Soldier Summit project. No release date is set for this route and could be a year or two away from release (maybe longer). Who knows?

I have not browsed the MSTS section for a while now, well except for keeping tabs on the North Wales Coast progress. So it was very nice to stumble accross this thread to see that a NWE3 was in development

NWE2 was my first CD route I purchased when I first joined UKTS way back in '04 and I must admit what a terrific job Terry did of capturing the region, I knew exactly where I was and where I was going in the simulator and really captured the 'feel factor'.

Although I spend more time on KRS nowadays, I still go for the odd spin on MSTS - but can't wait for both NWC and NWE3 - all those freight activities, thrashing a 40 and drawing some juice with an 86.

I've posted on both topics just to say thanks to Jon Bilton for letting us know about NWE3 on the general discussion and to say thanks to Terry Cunfliffe for making NWE3.

Perhaps one of you route builders would now like to consider the North London Line for MSTS.From Richmond,Old and New Kew Junction,Clapham Junction and Acton to Stratford and Barking via Gospel Oak,South Tottenham and Dalston.It carries intensive passenger services,varied freight and any number of "specials".A real "driver's" line which is more interesting than blasting up and down a high speed main line.

Anyway yeah, I can see MSTS living on for a while yet, but as has been mentioned in other threads there has arguably been a downturn in the rate of freeware production recently - personally I don't spend as much time as I used to in the sim, but it's a shame to see nonetheless.

The Lynton and Barnstaple route would get my vote we have the rollingstock but no route to run on

I think he might mean the cd version, the route stopped being available via cd a while ago now.
