, to be honest, I have no regrets. I'm glad the MSTS community has enjoyed my sounds (hopefully!). It was a different era and for some reason, it feels like things have moved on. That's not to say though that there will be no more freeware in the future though. If the community need something done for a freeware project, then work permitting, I'm more than happy to help.

And Chris, Mark Shipman's 37s really have grown old well :), don't look shabby at all!

Finally, Derek, the 37 looks excellent there, looks very impressive. The sound of it growling through a tunnel with the reverb effects will take Rail Simulator to a new level. ;)

They look very good from a distance. Got any close ups?

Hundreds in the MSTS screenshot library.
I've yet to see any other model capture the Class 37 properly yet.

Well I took a look at the screenshots, and they are not a patch on Derek's (unfinished) 37.
The polygon count is very low, and there is too much light painted into the textures. The latter technique is counter productive as make it look like pictures stuck on things.

Hi
But they look realistic to me.....in MSTS.... and that what counts for me.
I'm not a gamer, so anything that is drawn and rendered, however technically well..... just looks toy like.
Your Saddle Tank looks quite realistic too me, because I think you have used real textures.
Apart from the thickness of the thin cab walls.
However stick it in the KRS environment, and sorry but it doesn't work for me.
You'll never know how dissappointed I was when I first saw the screnshots of KRS.
Why why why did they scrap all the good parts of MSTS and copy the look of Trainz, I'll never know.
I've seen screenshots of Flight Sims....... thats how it should look.
Was it really that hard to ask for.
Cheers

OK, I think that's enough - I was hoping this "my sim's better than your sim" stuff would abate, but clearly not. The thread is going nowhere rapidly, so I'm locking it.
