The Sodor wee railway. Is it possible for MSTS?

There has been some arguments :argue:
and there have been some suggestions :o :o
AND there have been some doubts :x
But none the less I thought this needed a topic of its own:

Is the Thomas small (*wee*) railway possible for MSTS?

Of course there is no smaller track than the Narrow Gauge. But what happened before we had Narrow Gauge for MSTS (if we once had no Narrow Guage)?
Can we invent or make a smaller track?
:D I want to hear some answers :D

P.S
(This will also help with the possible creation of the small railway on the Sodor route)

Hmmm.... :-?

I won't get much into that, but The Small Railway could be possible without the "smaller tracks" or the "narrow gauge tracks".

For example, take some of ThomasTheTank's engines (Skarloey, Rheneas, Sir Handel, & Duke). They're meant to be Narrow Gauge Engines, but have been made to run on standard tracks.

There were no NG Tracks at the time, so everything was made using standard size features. That's all I know about this.

That's logical.
But the fact is the scale. In MSTS the people are about the hieght of the engines on Narrow Gauge but if there was a "Small" guage the engines would be half the hieght of the people. (Ok that isn't such a problem)
But what if made a new track! :o
:o Is it possible? :o

Well, someone (don't know who) did narrow down the standard tracks to the scale of NG tracks not long ago, so MAYBE there's a chance that it could be narrowed down even more.... :-?

...BUT I'm not confirming that.

Until real narrow gauge track was made most narrow gauge engines were simulated by making them standard siz, basically. The Tallylyn route at present has doubled the size of the scenery objects to make the trains look properly sized, so you would have to quadrouple the size of the scenery objects to make a miniture railway possible.

Think it might be better to start with something less ambitous however, like the Arbroath wee railway...

The problem with that is what happens when it runs along side the standard gauge line? which it does in this case.

:D Yes good to see more people geting involved :D

Anyway eddief is right. The "wee" railway runs aloung side the main railway at Knapford yard.
That's where donald and douglas talk about the small engines and Duck meets Rex, Mike and Bert. So enlarging the senery seems to be out :( (for the moment)

Also has anyone heard from Thomasthetank yet? I'd like for him to tell us about the two stories on the "Fogman" video, and keep us posted on anything new with the Route.
(Since there has been so much talk about thomas lately)

Not in a while...but that's probably a good sign! Seems like he's working diligently on The Sodor Route. I recall he wants to finish the whole project by Christmas. :)

Running two different track gauges in one route...I guess Microsoft and Kuju would have to figure this one out... :-?

For that first one about TtT:
:) Yes I do suppose that would be a good sign :)
BY CHRISTMAS YOU SAY!?!?!?!?!
:o WOW :o Daz must be working overtime to finish.

For the second post about eddief:
Yup. My brain just stopped can't figure how to do that.
(OOHHH!!! :o I hope TtT doesn't have too much of that problem when he gets to Crovans Gate :o That's where Edward meets Skarloey again.....)

I THINK he once said that he was going to leave out the Sodor Little Railway route from this project, but I could be wrong. :-?

He's concentrating on the most general parts of Sodor Railway, which have well-known places like Henry's Tunnel, Gordon's Hill, Edward's Station (Wellsworth), The Big Station (Knapford), etc.

I see what you mean :( Too bad, no Skarloey railway (named like the Talyllyn Railway :) )
Those other railways, except for duke's, would however make very nice add-ons in the future. (When TtT has time and the track :D )

Hopefully we'll get an update pretty soon as to EXACTLY what's in The Sodor Route...and how far (or near) the project is from completion. :)

It would clear all misconceptions if any!

I didn't want to put down anyone :o (in particular TtT).
