This lunchtime I managed to download Xtracks v3.3. Installed ok, but there seems to be an extra little proggie called Horace. Now I've seen some peeps referring to this 'ere Horace, but will someone please tell me what it is and what it does? I've tried running it but all it seems to do is freeze up. Does it need to reside in any particular directory?
Thanks in advance.
Horace?

davep: you think running a program you don't have a clue what it's doing is such a great idea? Could have ruined your whole MSTS installation.
Alans explanation is correct, sp762 got it backwards.
In short Horace looks through your tsection.dat and makes changes to the dynamic tracks in a route to make it work with any new track sections. Horace is only needed by route developers.
There's a short explanation of Horace in the included HTML documentation that comes with XTracks.
If you can't run it it's probably because you don't have the needed Visual Basic DLLs. If you think you need to run Horace on a route you're devloping you can download a full installation package of Horace from the file library. This package includes everything you need, did not want to add that to XTracks as it's quite large and many people already have what is needed.
