It has been too long. Would have prefered it in blue but I'm not complaining! Saw it go through Warrington actually at that very same moment.

That's a gorgeous engine. I prefer diesels in BR green I must admit. Seems a little more romantic somehow. Anyway... back to reality... what class is she (train n00b alert)? And is she modelled?

Nice to see something Decent back on the main line. Ahh remindes me of the days when they were blue working through shrewsbury on coal and ballast (Dad remembers them in the 60's hauling maroon and GW mk1's on the manchesters through shrewsbury!!!! :-? )

The 40 did two return trips between Crewe & Carnforth today instead of one trip from Crewe to Carnforth via Rugby. Has 37197 and mk1s behind her.

John, looks like 37038 rather than 197, another main line beast :)
