UK_Electric_SWT_EMU_Cl455852 problem

Post by Geoffwright »

Lots of recent activities call for the above item of stock which is on the Dorset Coast V3 cd, whick I have.
Unfortunately, using this seems to create an AI (# prefix) eng file in its appropriate folder (UK_Electric_SWT_EMU_Cl455852) with no cabview component, of course.
Over & over, I seem to need this eng file as a normal or full cabview type eng file.
I know how to get an AI version of a normal file using Route Riter, but I don't know how to do it the other way !
Surely others must have had this problem, so if one of these kind souls would tell me how to fix it, I'd be most obliged.

Easiest way is to download the drivable version if you've not got it, create the consist if one doesn't exist and then rename it to suit the filename thats missing. Or copy one of the consits you alread have and rename that to match instead

Hi Geoff

I've just checked that folder, and there is a non-AI engine file SWTRefurb_455852_A.eng there - not sure if it came on the CD or not, but if you PM me your email address I can get it to you.

Are you sure your copy it isn't stored by Trainstore - if you use it, of course.

If you know of a downloadable drivable version perhaps you tell us the UKTS file ID?
Alan

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Well, thanks, Alan. I think I may have edited the #eng file in question by adding a cabview & renaming the file with the # removed.
If that doesn't work, I'll get back to you for your version.
Incidentally, Ive checked my stored stuff and it definitely doesn't have the file I needed.

Thanks for help.

Driveable versions of 455s are: 13199 (SWT 455853/455855)
14726 455852
16112 455853 SWT Old Livery
14471 455848

The consist for 455852 will need to be renamed to the correct consist name as will any of the others if you decide to use them but they should be ready to go as AI OR driveable sets.
