508 Coupling Problem

Hi
Hope some one can help here - I'm trying to couple the Portorbrook match wagons to MT's refurbised 508 unit but they just won't couple up
- any ideas why?

Wasn't aware that MT have done any RS stuff so moved to MSTS general discussion.

How can I find out if that is the problem and how can I fix this?

Hi
Have you got Shape File viewer ?.
If so you can see both the bounding box from the eng/wag file and what it should be calculated from the model.
Set the size of the model in the eng/wag file and the BB box size in the sd file.
Once you have the correct sizes, reduce the inertia box length by 0.3.

Make sure at least one of your coupling settings in the wag file maches the one in the 508 file. Eg - if 508 outer coupler is automatic then the one on the end of the coach which you are trying to couple to it must be too.....They aint gonna av it guv otherwise!
