God help us !!!

Now I know why the railways are so Sh**e.

People who can't spell, or are just not bothered. Did you do English at school? Spelling? Grammar?

BTW kool is spelt with a C.

How ever did you get a job on the railways??

We also know another four letter works starting with a C, don't we Boys & Girls. But I'm not that bad, as to use it here :fist:

So its not only me that all this is getting to. At last, I am not the only person on here that thinks the country is going to the dogs, if the standards portrayed on here are anything to go by.

1. For "grammer" read "grammar"

2. For "its" read "it's"

3. Tee-hee.

Yes, delticd9000, that sounds like a fantastic idea. I'd love to see that. Might be difficult to fill all the seats though, and the organisation would be a nightmare. There's a good chance that a reunion of all six with the prototype at the NRM could happen in the near future.

Ouch, I am been picked by 'nits', and rightly too :(

Thanks Stuart, I did notice my error, too late to alter it before it was quoted.

I only got moderate marks in English at school BTW, but what might pass for a text message on a phone would be unacceptable to any employer I have worked for.

prototype comeback

Post by salopiangrowler »

Ok! I heard the NRM are willing to get DELTIC running again. Atleast to say you wouldnt need a new headlight with the size of its search light on the nose. And the norweigen Navy still use the same series Napier engines that were fitted to the prototype, (the standard napier engine pistons are too small). I can only assume from the stories i heard that the prototype was alot louder than its sisters 0X

I don't know where you heard that story but I don't think it will happen somehow. Deltic is along with the likes of Mallard, the GNR Single Wheeler and Gladstone certainly some of their prize locos and I'll be amazed if we see the single Wheeler, Mallard or Deltic run again (even if Mallard and No:1 have run before in preservation). So looks like you'll have to make do with normal Deltics.
