As an aside, would be nice to see some mk1 metro-cammell Pullmans in Blue and Grey - ideal for MEP+.

A couple were regulars in the Harwich - Manchester boat train up until the late 70s, in the guise of open firsts :)

As is often the case, a thread in a forum has a mind of its own! I only asked whether there was an MSTS LMS Buffet car, but this has resulted in a lot of interesting comment.
In fact, I have a copy of the excellent book by Essery and Jenkinson " The LMS Coach" 1923-1957, in which there is a very brief section devoted to Buffet cars, of which the LMS built 5. The first was a Period II coach to diagram D1848 on a standard 57' underframe, Lot 646 of 1932, followed four years later by 4 similar pattern Stanier cars to D1948, Lot 902 of 1936. The authors comment that the only notable feature was the "hideoud" interior decor.

I saw the M6XXM series Ex-LMS 6-wheel bogied Sleeping Cars at Euston c. 1970 but sleeping car services were reduced around that period and they were withdrawn.

Plenty of Ex-LMS passenger brake vans around though.
Cheers

And of course some BR built LMS design PIII BTKs received blue and grey and were in service on the Woodhead line right up until the end.

Some PIII coaches also received ETH to operate with the then new AC electrics on the WCML, and of course, EE type 4 D255, which was the only one of its' type (albeit briefly) to be fitted with ETH :o
