There are unused Services, Traffic and Consist files in the download which will cause errors.
Route Riter will remove them.

Some of the stock folders and files use different names.

the readme for the LNER sleeper suggests the folder name scotcarslp but the activities look for scotscarslp (extra S)
The folder for UKTS_10554_LNER_Bogie.zip needs to be LNERPreGroupStock.

Other name differences occur but are easy to correct with Route Riter or Activity Analysis.

There are 3 consist errors
PL_2P_14416_2CC .con should have the space before .con deleted.

0509 Perth to Inverness.con reads.......

SIMISA@@@@@@@@@@JINX0D0t______

Train ( "0509 Perth to Inverness"
TrainCfg ( "0509 Perth to Inverness"
Serial ( 1 )
MaxVelocity ( 30 0.2 )

it should be......

SIMISA@@@@@@@@@@JINX0D0t______

Train (
TrainCfg ( "0509 Perth to Inverness"
Name ( "0509 Perth to Inverness" )
Serial ( 1 )
MaxVelocity ( 30 0.2 )

PL LNER D15 3NC.con has the same error

I have corrected all the errors in my route but I have substituted a lot of the stock so I can't send my fixes to DarwinS

The CR coaches are LMSR_exCR_xxxxxx.wag in the LMS download.
The activities are looking for the seperate download versions named LMS_exCR_xxxxxx.wag

Easy to fix in the editors.

Thanks for the info Chaps, I've spent today sorting things out with Route Riter and now just come on the Forum and there are all the answers to my remaining problems.

Great minds Robert  , started in Routeriter with the intention of clearing up the problems that were out standing. The list I provided was for installing the route, Pat Daltons stock collection & Update, as well as the Scottish Wagons package. I have added files to my original post as I went along after confirming that they were correct.

Using Conbuilder as a file browser certainly helped speed up the process (hence the notes on the case sensitive stock) as well as the auto replacement of stock with Activity Analysis, it didn't take too long.

Once again thanks to Ian and Ash for their input, without which I think I would still have been at it now.

Just tried fortgeorgemixed.act.

I seems to be incomplete, ending at Gollanfield Junction without shunting for the return journey as described in the readme.
It was impossible to change the yard points to collect the cattle wagon at the start and I had to move the reversing point to get to the platform.

Have just tried the activity "1225 Aviemore-Inverness" and had a problem due to missing Teakbrake and Teakcomp wag. files. Have discovered that you need to download file 9640 LNERPreGroupStock to rectify this.

Hi Pete,

I realise this information is too late for you now, but Ian did post this above:
The folder for UKTS_10554_LNER_Bogie.zip needs to be LNERPreGroupStock
are these the same?.

Robert,
You do need this other download as the .wag files are needed for the activity I listed previously.Without them the activity will not run as they are listed within the actual activity not the separate consists. The required Teakbrake and Teakcomp .wag files are NOT in the download you have mentioned.

If you look at one of my earlier posts in this thread, I listed the file errors according to RouteRiter and the files I installed to clear the errors out

 More errors than I had imagined... Could somebody please upload a patch or e-mail me a corrected version for upload?
:( I can't test anything out, as my laptop will not even run my route.

Slightly different problem with the Highland.
Although I appear to set it up successfully, I cannot set up an activity and am told 'Failed to save Path'.
Running through Routeriter gives me the 'Error 76' message.
Help would be appreciated.

Having finally decided to use activity analysis to substitute the stock which wouldn't work (and also knobbled my black 5 to be a little less like a sports car) I tried out the 08:30 Inverness-Aviemore activity. Conclusion -this is a really super route! Lovely scenic variety, picturesque stations where trains actually passed without stand-offs and realistic gradients needing some careful driving. It really creates the feel of slogging through the highlands behind steam . Tons of authentic atmosphere - a delight for us steam era enthusiasts - well done .

Hi brooke1,

Are you talking about writing a new Activity in AE or running one that was supplied in Highland Part 5?

In answer to your second problem, if you look on this site and click 'Route Riter', then 'Error Messages after installation/upgrades',

The first error message is Error 76.

http://steam4me.railpage.org.au/trainsim/
Error Messages after Installation / Upgrading

I receive Error 76 when I first try to run Route-Riter after clicking OK on the Startup screen:
The possibility is that the Route Riter 6 registry entry has become messed up, in which case it will be necessary to use Regedit, and look for the entry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Route_Riter6

Right click on Route_Riter6 (and Route_Riter as well if it exists from a previous version) and select Delete from the menu. The program should then run OK. (The registry entries are then re-written when you next exit RR.)

Robert,
Sorry, I was talking about creating a new activity - actually (dare I say it), a DMU going from x to Dingwall!
