Is/was there a CONSISTS folder for the "Highland" route in File 5. If there was a consists folder and somebody has downloaded it could they please send it to me as it is no longer in the any of the "Highland" download files.

Thanks in advance,

Mike.

Re: Highland route & LMS stock, Download Problem ?

Post by paulco »

Hi all, have a weird problem here.

Firstly let me say I am logged in at the moment as a premium member. However when I try to download the LMS stock pack from the page where the 21 files are, it would seem to log me off, there is only the option to view, the download arrow is not there and a message saying I must be logged on first but when I log back on, I'm taken to another page or on one occasion taken to a queing list where I was in position 33. any suggestions please

Regards

Yes, there does seem to be a little quirk there......

Here's the workaround:
1) Open the linked page in a separate tab/window
2) Log in....which jumps you back to the main download page.
3) Close that tab/window down
4) Go back the this thread and re-use the link to open in a separate tab/window again. It'll say you're not logged in....but you are!
5) When you select on the "i" button for the individual items, the detail page will then say you're logged in.

Hi Mike

Unfortunately the consists were not included with the files uploaded to UKTS.
UKTS Admin are trying to contact Darwin with regard to this matter, however, he is in the process of moving house at the moment.
We are all going to have to be a little patient until the consists are finally released.

Kindest regards

Sorry, just arrived in our new home in Bali...

Sadly, I lost the consists when I left the old computer behind. However if I can get MSTS to run on my laptop I will try and put them together again tomorrow!

Hope you will forgive any problems, I wanted to upload the route quickly before leaving just to ensure that everything was not lost in the process of moving.

Just read your new location. That'll be mainly Cane Railways I suppose? Watch out for snakes  ....and don't get kidnapped!

BTW anyone interested search "Railways on Java" and you should get links to two nice little 7 minute mini documentaries on these on U-tube.

How on earth do those sugar plantation trains stay on the tracks. Really interesting documentaries and funny also. The other Java docs are quite decent also.

One wonders if DarwinS could let us know if there is any prospect of being able to get the missing consist files for the activities for the Highland route.
If not, then we could try & see if substitute consists might work.

Well, in between work this week, I have managed to download the stock. (It took longer than I thought!) Hopefully I can put some together this weekend.

If you want to substitute then you will find some formations for passenger trains in the WTT I uploaded.

Good News...

I have uploaded some replacement consists, which I hope will work.

Apart from that I am looking forward to the efforts of greater activity writers... perhaps taking 6 empty mineral wagons from Dingwall up to Raven's Rock and bringing 6 loaded wagons down...
...or passenger trains from Inverness to Aviemore via Forres attaching and detaching coaches at Forres.
...or a livestock special coming south from (the sheep sales at Lairg) and fitting in between the scheduled services...
...or...

:( Well it seems there are problems with the replacement consists that I made. I will probably have to take time to get MSTS and my route up and running on my lap top. If anyone can see a quick fix let me know... otherwise hopefully I will get time to test it out this coming weekend :(

I can help with one item - Scotscarsleep.wag is mis-named, the download folder being called Scotcarslp (Ithink). There is no "s" after "Scot".
