im buying a new pc,but.................

does anybody know if the old MSTS1 will work on a Vista Ultimate 64bit operating system?

if not,does it work on a Vista 32bit?

which should I get?

It may work on the 64 bit, I'm on Vista Home premium and have nad a few problems but apart from that it seems to work my pc is 32 bit

There is a whole Forum lower down here devoted to MSTS on Vista - I suggest you have a read through it.

I am using Vista Ultimate 32bit and except for the usual problems, it is now working well. I would stick to 32bit if you have the choice, there is no real value using 64bit on a home workstation, especially given the driver and application issues you may encounter running 64bit.

If you do a search for "64bit" and restrict it to the MSTS and Vista forum, you'll find threads that confirm that MSTS will run on 64bit Vista.

And read the sticky thread at the top of the forum. It'll save you having to ask a few more questions.
