Standard Scale

Post by cardean »

Hi,

Maybe a daft question but, are all the MSTS items made to a universal scale?

The reason I'm asking is that I coupled Daryn Dunkley's model of the Prince of Wales to a couple of David Ball's LMS 69ft SLF's and there seemed to be a distinct height difference.
I'm sure this wasn't the case in real life as both the Loco which was built at Crewe and the coach, made at Wolverton would have been built to the same loading gauge.

baffled :)

Hi John
No you will find differences between modelling software.
You can use SFM to re-scale on some models.
Cheers

The LMS coaches are slightly smaller than scale.

If you run them thru SFM and re-scale by 1.025 they should match most other stock.
