Ok I know this might be stupid, but has anyone ever thought of making the hole of the uk route for train sim? What if all the routes are joined on together? Could it work? Or would it just crash as the route would be so big?
Thoughts?
Would thi s work?

Hi dean1986, I posted that very comment in a PM to Forum friend of mine who lives in Nottingham, but as I said it was possibly beyond the memory and scope of present day computers.
Just think of driving a Train from Penzance in the deep south, all the way to Wick in Scotland without having to load several different routes to achieve it.
Phew mind boggling eh!!!, a few main stops on the way to break up the run, that would allow for supposed crew changes to take place.

I reckon there are some people who would dispute that claim, Ian.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558
Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Paul's quite right in his comment.....
The World of Rails concept for TS2 will force us one way or another to totally change the way we think about train simulation. The term "route" will no longer relate to the mini-world in which you intend to run, eg the WCML from London to York, but will refer to an area that has detailed scenery/track/etc.
The equivalent to what we now call a "route" will be "the UK" or "Europe" or "the world". Exciting stuff, eh??
