Hi Ben

Yes, it does - take a look at some of the thread here for more specific advice: http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewforum.php?f=273

...then if you still have problems, post again. :D

Don't be. If...and I mean only if.....your graphics card is one of the few cards that suffer the occasional "white tears" in ground textures, and the version of the drivers are an early copy, then you might get the occasional bit of white on the ground textures.

Install MSTS, modify the permissions on Train.exe, add the "Everyone" user to the security profile for the Train Simulator folder...and enjoy!

Mine is a Ge force 8500 gt. So is the install proceedure same as on windows xp. Install the program the 1.2 update then your add-ons, then 1.4 update and finally your bin patch or is that not needed with vista. Just if I need to download anything I'd rather get all the downloads done in one go. I also have 2Gb of ram not 1Gb. Is there any extra runs I can do that I couldn't previously.

Thanks

Hi Ben, That's about right. You will still need the Bin Patch.

Why worry?? If it doesn't work (and I'm 99% sure it will) you can always uninstall it. If like me you are installing it from the original 2001 boxed version (cardboard boxes, remember them?) you may need the update patch from Microsoft. MSTSBin is an absolutely essential enhancement.

Cheers

Ben - I don't wish to appear unhelpful but you could have found these for yourself in seconds using Google and the link on the bin patch forum here  . However....

Hi Ben, Why not use the latest Bin Patch,V.1.8.052113. I have been using it since it first came out,
It is very stable and saves a lot of bother,

You can always go back to the last stable one if you wanted.
