Hello Folks

When I was just finishing downloading the consists file 18369 AVG gave me a warning about a Trojan Horse so I just moved it to the vault. Has anybody else had this.
Has file 18365 been uploaded as I get the message cannot find when trying to obtain this file.
I have not posted for some time now as I am on a six month contract in KL Malaysia have been tempted out of retirement. Back home at the end of April.
Best Regards to all
Arthur

Have a look at this thread (just a few down from this post!)
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 38&t=81094 .
The one I describe is probably a false positive from AVG - what is the full name on the virus you were warned about?

Ive downloaded 18369 tonight and scanned it with Norton AV.
I can confirm its clean and its probably another AVG false positive.

Hi Alan & Laurie
Many thanks for your replies and yes Alan it is the very same one as you reported. As soon as AVG gave me the warning, to be on the safe side I moved it to the vault and then deleted it. Having used AVG (free) for some years now it is the first time this has happened.
I have sanned my computer with three free on line virus scanners and all of them give me a clean bill of health. Having downloaded so many files from the site I always feel very safe and comfortable downloading from this site as it is so well organised. I must say in passing it is the first time I have had this happen downloading files from here. I will try downloading the file again and if I get the same messwage I will forward it to Grisoft and see what reply I get.
Best Regards
Arthur

I've redownloaded and checked the files that AVG was identifying SHeur in - AVG now says they are clean, so I assume the latest AVG update has removed the false identification.
I assume this file would also be OK now.

Hi Folks
I have downloaded the file again after having recieved my daily updates from AVG and this time no problem. I am thinking the same as Alan a definite false positive.
Many thanks for your replies.
Best Regards
Arthur

Nope,
I've downloaded and checked it out (PC-cillin, all pattern files up to date), and the file is given a clean bill of health.
All files are checked anyway by the site administration. They wouldn't host anything malicious.
