Be sure to check the copyrights on some stuff, all mine is distributed exclusively through UK trinsim.

Only reason is I prefer to keep it all in one place and matt is so good at organising and the support I get from this site is second to none - sorry

I must stress i am providing this as a free service for one reson not every one has Access to Broadband/Cable/ISDN over 85% of gamers still have 56k dialup in the UK the CD/DVD will make it easier for people to gain access to this stuf. I am not doing this for another reson than being able to give every one a fair chance to have access to all theese wonderfull free add on's i am so disapointed that Such expierenced gaming people could be so small mind once again profit before gamers. so far i have bought several add on pack one has less than 5 meg of stuff and i was charged 20 pounds for it i aim to provide many with a free service what do i gain out of it easy about 5 years worth of stuff to stick on MSTS and play till i turn 35 all i am saying those who are intrested get in contact with me phone me if need be come visit my house i have nothing to hide or with hold.

Small minded? Seems like you have no real grasp of how things are done, especially where people on this site are concerned. Anything I have done is also exclusive to UKTrainsim and will stay that way. I cannot speak for other modellers / texturers but I think you will find many people feel the same way....

My feelings are the same as Basil's on this 1, I will not allow anything of mine to be uploaded to another site, the support you get from about 99.9% of people on this site is superb and I would not be to pleased if anyone misplaced that trust.

I've no reason to doubt your motives but modellers often have reasons such as loyalty to a site for not wanting their models elsewhere.

This site has served me well and if models were distributed in this fashion it would discourage members from taking up subscriptions.

It may seem odd that there is problems distributing files 'free' but I personally don't wish my personal models to be distruted in any way other than that which I choose.

Repaints as I put in the readme can be uploaded anywhere .... an e-mail to inform me would be as courtesy though.

Cheers

I originally restricted my stuff to UKTS (loyalty, support for the site) and msts.nl (Ries asked so nicely! - though I don't know why he won;t make my Blackpool Tram available). In the end I only put my stuff on tr**n_s*m.com just to get the download count up (ego reasons I suppose).

SO... I basically am NOT opposed to what you want to do, and indeed only having a 56K line I'd probably purchase a set off you!

But I'd suggest you take a step back and perhaps approach Matt, offering to sub-contract some of his load for him (under his direction - i.e. production of CD masters, gaining of approval etc) under the UKTS banner! Give it a try?

If you were to download everything here, and tr***-s**.com, it would take several DVDs! I have only downloaded a small proportion of stuff and thats over 5 gb.

Also, I do not give permission for any of my work to be distributed by you, or anyone else here without prior agreement.

I am sure you are trying to do this for the right reasons but I must insist that none of my Narrow gauge models are included in this collection. They are for use only on this site and the relevant Narrow gauge railway company's websites only.

My readme's make it quite plain that they are not to be used for any purpose without my permission.

I would drop the idea now. People have tried less ambitious ways before and have got the same response. Being a member of Uktrainsim works, the system is fine. Your idea is a logical one but not needed.

my view is the same as those above.
My contribution, although small, is exclusive to this site and shall stay as such.
I distribute my work in the way i see fit & i think most people agree with that view.
Sorry
