Hi,
I was wondering what ever happened to the additional Activities and stock that was advertised for release during October 2007?,on the web site it still mentions they will be released in October.
One of the reasons I bought this route was because it was going to have this extra activity pack, in away I feel conned by this advert.
Also a problem I'm having is if I try to go to Oswetry or Geboen the sim just freezes outside Oswestry, all other parts of the route are o.k.

Hi Michael
Yes - I was starting to wonder about the extra activities, but I know how timescales slip in MSTS.
As for your freezing, have you installed the patch available from the 3D Train Stuff site here
http://www.3dtrainstuff.com/products/uk ... rian2.html ? There was a faulty tile in the original route.

Hi guys
Hit the same problem with the white-out countryside around Oswestry and Gobowen - pity, because I knew the area well and was looking forward to seeing what they made of it - but they came back very quickly, told me about the download on their website and that fixed it for me. But I eventually followed that up with what I thought was a polite question about progress on the no-show activities pack (which in any case is presumably something which will be charged for) and I got a blank refusal to even discuss the matter. That was around three months ago, and I'm not holding my breath....

Take a look at this post from 23rd November last year. It may help to explain things a bit.

Hi Paul
Don't quite know what happened to my earlier post (a few minutes ago) so apologies if this is a needless repeat. Just wanted to say thanks for the link, though I had seen the original post to which it relates. But it's more than two months old now, and it would have been nice to have a little more reassurance they hadn't forgotten about us still waiting in hope - as it's payware, I would have thought they would have wanted to keep us in the loop for now. Still, here's hoping they won't be too long....

I'm afraid that the freeware activities that I've been writing for the Highworth branch have taken much longer than I anticipated and Cambrian 2 is in the queue behind these. I am making steady progress, so should have more positive news soon. The next step for the Cambrian is a set of 10 freeware activities under the heading "Dukedogs over Talerddig" after which we'll release the new payware activities.

Thanks for the information Martin, and we do appreciate the hard work you are putting in.
I'll keep the Dukedog's in 'light' steam then.

Thanks Martin - good to know progress is being made - part of the problem is that the activities on Cambrian 1 were such a vital part of the route's appeal that one can't help looking forward to the new ones which will cover a wider area of Cambrian 2...

Responding to all the favourable reports I have purchased Cambrian 2 and although I have only explored a little bit I am pleased with what I have. One minor moan; after a nasty experience with Severn Valley, I like to make a back-up copy of my routes, either copying the original disc, or loading the route and stock into a separate Microsoft Games folder and then copying the "in MSTS" route and stock and any other special items to a disc. I cannot do either of these with Cambrian Coast, presumably because of the way it is protected.

I only became aware of V2 whan I came into this forum and I paid for it & got it 2 days ago.
Yes, it is good, this is not a groan, the station in Barmouth is on the wrong side of the level crossing, that is if the station was there and moved at some point in time.
I really am looking forward to the add-ons.

The main station is
still north of the level crossing.

There used to be an excursion platform (used by holiday trains) to the south of the crossing (see Martin's screenshot):

This platform was there in the steam era (
when the route is set), but was later removed.

Appears they have corrected the positioning of the platforms in Version 2.
I want to buy this route, but I don't want to buy from 3D Train Stuff's website, as everything is in soding USD!
Are 3D Train Stuff going to release the product for commerical selling, i.e. on sites like Amazon.co.uk?

The only place to get it is from the 3D Train Stuff website, so if you really want it you will have to buy it from there - the £-$ exchange rate is still pretty good, and they take credit card payments. I've bought it that way, along with many others from these forums.
