I have recently bought a Laptop with the above installed...MSTS runs fine apart from when in Editors &Tools. The problem being, as there is not a "Number Pad" there are no up and down arrows for altering the terrain. I have not found any reference to this on the Forum so any help would be gratefully received.
Thank you Ken.

On my laptop, the number pad is a secondary function of keys... 7 8 9 U I O J K L M

Depending on your laptop it maybe slightly different and you will have to press either the "Ctrl" key of "Fn" key while pressing the above keys.

When I was in the UK in May, I bought a USB number pad for a laptop in Aldi for about 10 quid, it might be worth your while checking if they still have them.

Thanks for your help fellas, I have a Dell 1520 and it works ok using "Fn" then 8 or k. The "End" key does not seem to do anything, but I have run out of fingers by then anyway

Aldi have not reached the Isle of Man yet Mike, but I shall check out USB Pads online...once again many thanks,...Ken

Alternatively, buy a bog standard USB keyboard....it's likely to be cheaper than a numeric pad. And you'll be able to type faster!!

Even cheaper.

Go to your local recycling site and get a keyboard for free.
