Having just spent a very enjoyable few hours running this activity a few times, i can comfirm that there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. it IS graphically intensive, particularly at the beginning, and with only 512 Mb of RAM, it doesn't surprise me that you're having trouble running it, Ben. And if you have problems with this, it's very likely that you'll have similar problems with other activities on other routes at some time. The best investment you could make is to get another 512 Mb of RAM - you'll notice a huge difference, both with MSTS and in how your computer performs in general.

All the stock used on most of my activities is as supplied with the CD and is known to work OK, so something must be wrong with your set up or something has been changed.I have a few issues with this activity,i can get the loco to move but as soon as its hooked up it wont go anywhere!!!!
Frame rates are dependent on the direction of travel, the amount of AI traffic in view, the number of static consists and the view currently on display. Ram is of little consequence for frame rates, though you need 1GB to help keep things going. More imporant is Hard Drive speed and processor speed. Also on the Cleveand Coastal stopper i get a system crash at Londesborough rd,however if im going the other way,i have no probs at llin that area.Wierd or what?I have plenty of ram and virtually all other stuff runs well with great frame rates.
There are probably more heavily loaded tiles in the memory going in one direction than the other. The sim looks/loads at least one more tile ahead. Also UKFS Track which is used on YCR is known to be heavy on polycounts ie it consumes memory big time. The problem with Londsborough Rd is all those sidings and you have a load round the back as well on the way to Whitby, plus all the station platforms at Scarborough.
This part of the route requires quite a good computer to handle all that lot.
I still believe there to be nothing wrong with Hull Freight Activity. Its been around for several years and you two are the only ones reporting problems. I am fairly sure you have resource problems with your computers.
Unfortunately I am too busy with MidEastPlus to look any further into the problem in the foreseeable future.

What I can't understand Is I've had the same problems occur on a pc with much higher specs 149Gb HD 1GB of Ram and A 3.2Ghz processor and high spec graphics card. Something In the readme file about the the requirements of the pc would help people so they do make the same mistake or have the same problem.
