Conbiulder is out the question as you need the payware version and I ain't paying for it online.
Route riter may work.
This Is a quote from the readme file that came with the activity:-
This activity requires no additional downloads or modifications
so I part 1 is not needed.

Ben, I share with you a dislike of having to pay for anything if I can get it free, but there are some things which are worth a modest price. I do not know your personal habits or financial situation, but the amount many people spend on their PCs and on entertainment makes the cost of such as Conbuilder and Activity Analyser look quite affordable. I would not be without them; it has saved me a lot of time on the forums for a start!

Hi Ben
I was fully aware of what Mick's readme said - the reason I advised what I did was to check out if any of your required Roliing Stock for Mick's Activity has got corrupted in some way on your installation.
Regards
Mike

I find that on-line buying from reputable firms has caused me no problems and saaved me a lot of trouble. I would not dream of buying anything from a firm which approached me on spec, or was offering too-good-to-be-true bargains

Like you Tony, I have bought plenty online from reputable companies with no problem - this includes Conbuilder and Cambrian 2 which seem to worry some people. And this includes using Paypal linked to a bank account, as well as credit card transactions.

The question now Is how do I get hull freight to stop draining my sim memory? With wrecking my installation?

Re: PLEASE READ THIS If you have or have had Hull freight on YCR
Only when loading and running the 'hull freight' Activity will it be affecting your Sim with reduced memory available from your P/C.
If you are using Train Store (as you say you are) and use the 'Easy' tab (which only loads one Route & one Activity to the Sim) your P/C should perform reasonably well on most other activities, even though you have only have 512mb of ram. If you must run this Activity, when you are finished always cold start your P/C before moving on to your next chosen Route/Activity so that full P/C memory is available to the Sim to run your next activity.
If you asking how you can change the 'hull freight' Activity to be more user friendly on your P/C, then you will have to make changes using the Activity Editor. You could try reducing or even removing all the 'Static consists' in the area's you are experiencing problems. Also you can try deleting any 'AI' traffic that passes you in the problem areas, this will also help.

Re: PLEASE READ THIS If you have or have had Hull freight on YCR
I honestly can't see any need to restart your computer after running MSTS - as long as you shut down MSTS to get back to Trainstore (or the desktop if you haven't set it up to automatically go back to Trainstore) Windows will release all the memory used by MSTS. The failure to release memory is only a problem within MSTS, not Windows.
If you don't believe this, run Task Manager before starting MSTS - you can then switch to it during a session using Alt-Tab, and then check memory use again after you close MSTS.
