1.7.10222s is fine. Really. You must have problems with your rolling stock. Do you not get the same with the stable version?
One thing BIN enables more than anything is front coupling without problems.

Hi Ben
bharrison wrote:Bin patch 1.7.10222 is Bad it lauches your locos through the train your connecting to. It came straight out and the stable one went In. It won't be used again.

Ben
Bin Patch 1.7.10222 is fine.

Are you still on the YCR Hull Freight Activity.
If so you are coupling too fast, just creep upto the bolsters and nudge them.  To missquote the Python Team. :D

I had the same that was the cure. It's just related to that stock.

Keep Trying.

The stable version didn't do that at all. I remember being able to change cabs? but I'm not sure If you can on 1.7. You could on 1.6.

Ben

I suggest you read the thread near the top of the Bin forum about cabs - that explains everything very clearly.

Ben,

As far as I know you are the only person thats ever reported a problem with this activity. I do not therefore think it is an activity problem. Its almost certainly memory/Hard drive speed and/or processor speed related. Have you tried putting your settings right down low? BIN should have helped you a little.

512mb isn't really enough to run complex routes like the YCR. Unfortunately your PC does not have the capacity to load all the objects on the tiles and is falling over because of it. Can you increase your RAM to 1Gb and try again? If so I'm pretty sure your woes will be over. I had to increase my RAM to 1Gb to create the route in the first place.. sorry for that.

If increasing the RAM isn't an option for you, then as suggested try turning down the settings which will prevent some of the objects getting loaded and may enable you to progress beyond your awkward zone. If you can get past that zone, do a save, then turn up the settings back up, reload the saved activity and hey presto... hopefully problem solved!

Hi Ben,
Earlier in this thread you said you had a broken PC.
I suggested using the memory from that.
Did you investigate that option?

Yes I considered It and I had the same problem with that machine to It had 1GB of ram And a 3.2 Ghz amd athlon processor It made the ycr route look Tiny. but hull freight had the same problem, same place, Same time. The ycr plays fine as do all my other routes. I'm ain't got a clue what it could be.

Hi Ben

As Mick advised I am convinced you have PC problem - probably due to lack of Memory.

When Mick first released this Activity I completed it with no problems at all without MSTSBin installed - so to double check I re-installed the Activity today and completed it again with absolutely no problems with MSTSBin 1.6 installed.

I suggest you do the following:-

(1) Check you have all the required Rolling Stock for the Activity using either Route Riter or Activity Analysis

(2) Check out all the Rolling Stock with Conbuilder to see if you have any Sound/Cabview/Syntax or other errors errors

(3) If all the above is OK then go into MSTS Options and turn off all shadows and move your slider down to one notch from best Graphics and you should be OK.

You may feel like that this is a lot of work Ben but it is well worth your while as the latest Routes/Rolling Stock and Activities are very Memory intensive so this exersise will come in useful in the future.

Regards

Mike

I'm running it with 1.7. the 1.6 patch was a great patch can u still get the stable version of that patch.

All my other routes and activitys are fine. These are the routes I have Installed.

Cambrian Coast
Freiburg (black forest route)
The 6 default routes
Severn Valley Railway
North-West England
Yorkshire Coast
And the
London South Coast

All my routes and my others Activitys work fine Apart from Hull freight

Theres nothing wrong with the pc as If there was the other programs would be affected.

Hi Ben

Please check out the required Rolling Stock as per (1) & (2) in my previous posting.

You could have one or more pieces of Rolling Stock which are either Faulty or Missing.
