Hard drive speed and a good graphics processor plus a reasonable processor are also required.

But BIN will help- have installed it yet? The latest version works fine.

Its 1.7.102222

Go to your MSTS folder, right click on train.exe, click on properties, click on the version tab, click on file version in the drop down menu and you should see which BIN file you have.

I've pulled down the latest stable patch and 1.7.10222 which is not set as stable on the website.

Is 1.7.10222 stable

In certain circumstances with 1.7.10222 you can get stuck with a zero mph speed limit, which is a problem if you are driving an engine that automatically applies the emergency brake when you exceed the limit. It appears to happen if you stop at a signal and then get a green where the route doesn't reset the track limit once you pass the signal.

There are some reported problems with reduced power from multiple units - it may only use the power of the driven unit.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Well, Ive never experienced any of these or heard of them reported anywhere before.

But, if you are unhappy with any version of Bin its easy enough to revert back to another version or the default Train.exe

Just give it a go, you won't regret it.

Hi Mick

The 0 mph problem has been reported on the Bin site and on Trainsim.com - I've had it happen to me a couple of times, and for one activity on a virtual railroad (Cascade and North Western) I had to revert to the stable version because they wouldn't accept my activity summary as it showed I had been speeding!

As you say, it is very easy to change versions - I keep several ready to install.

Hi Ben

Horses for courses - I used the latest version for quite a while, and love the new 4 view, but when I get problems I can always revert back to the stable version. It only takes a few minutes to change versions.

Bear in mind that if you use electric power, then the latest stable version has the zero power bug...like some setups, you have no power at all.

The WIP version has this problem cured...

As I keep saying, the latest (so-called none stable) version is fine and in fact works better than the stable version excepting the possibility of the 0mph bug.

BIN will not mess up your MSTS whatever version you use. You may experience some minor glitches with earlier versions.

Anyway, I think this thread has wandered a long way off topic. All Ben wants to do is be able to get past Scarborough with the Hull Freight. Please install the latest BIN and let me know if solves your problem. :-?
